Conferring of Degrees and Diplomas will take place in the College Chapel on Saturday 19th November at 12 noon. Two invitation tickets are enclosed for admission of two guests to the ceremony and reception.
You must confirm your attendance at the conferring ceremony by completing the online form here or by returning the enclosed card to the Theology Office by Friday 12th August 2011. Please ensure that you complete the form/card fully and that your Christian Names are as per your birth certificate.
If you do not complete the online or return the enclosed card you will be conferred ‘in absentia’.
If you are unable to attend the ceremony your parchment will be posted to your home address (as recorded by you at registration) If you require it to be sent to a different address please inform us in writing or by email at conferring@spcm.ie Parchments will be posted approximately two weeks after the ceremony.
Parking is available in the designated car park on the south campus only. All motorists are asked to co-operate with any directions given by any steward or security in the management of the traffic and parking arrangements.
Phelan Conan Ltd. is the University’s Official Robe provider. All Graduands must pre-book their robes with Phelan Conan on www.phelanconan.com or by the enclosed booking form (Pink Form).
Phelan Conan will be located in First Divinity Hall from 8 a.m. on the conferring day. The cost of gown hire is Euro 35.
You must return your gown directly to Phelan Conan while they are located here in the Pontifical University.
Please note that there are no cloakroom facilities for graduands and any bags or coats should be left with your guests.
Each graduand receives two invitation tickets for the admission of two quests to the conferring ceremony.
Please keep these tickets in a safe place as lost or mislaid tickets can not be replaced.
Admittance is by ticket only and entry is via the main door. Guests should be seated in the Chapel at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the ceremony. After this time admittance for ticket holders is not guaranteed. Children are admitted by ticket only.
The official approved photographer on the day is Lafayette Photography for those who wish to obtain formal graduation portraits (prices range from €33 to €140). This service will be available in Middle Loftus. The service will be open two hours before the ceremony commences. In your own interest, be wary of unofficial photographers who may be present in and around the grounds. The Institute cannot guarantee the quality / service offered by such individuals. To avoid queues for order placement and payment on your Graduation Day you can pre-book orders for both photography and frames online at www.lafayettephotography.com
You are requested to ensure that any outstanding tuition fees have been paid.
Students will not be eligible to graduate if they have outstanding fees
A buffet reception, for graduands and their guests (ticket holders) will be served in Puigin Hall after the ceremony.
Care should be taken of your degree parchments as they can not be replaced.
