Biography:
Priest of the Diocese of Meath, ordained in 1949. Undergraduate studies in Maynooth (BA and BD). Professor of English at St. Mary’s College, Knockbeg, Carlow (1949-54). Founder member of The Furrow (1950) and Review Editor (1950-1977). Central School of Speech and Drama, London (1954-55). Appointed Lecturer in English Elocution, St. Patrick’s College, Maynooth (1959) Associate of the London College of Music (1962) Professor of Homiletics (1970-present). Editor The Furrow (1977-present).Visiting lecturer, Irish College, Rome (1978-present).
