Biography:
Laurence Murphy is a Jesuit priest from Dungannon, Co.Tyrone.  He was educated by the Presentation Brothers in his home town and in Clongowes Wood College.  He did his undergraduate studies in U.C.D. and in Berchmanskolleg, Munich and graduate studies in Milltown Park and at the Gregorian University in Rome.  He was ordained a priest in 1970.  His ministry has been mainly in religious formation, first as director of novices, then as Rector of the Collegio Internazionale del Gesu in Rome and later as director the Jesuit Centre of Spirituality in Manresa, Dollymount.  He served for six years as Provincial Superior. He has been a spiritual director in Maynooth since 2005.
