Commercial Filming and Photography on Campus

Maynooth College is recognised as one of the finest film locations in Ireland with its Georgian Neo-Gothic and modern buildings, dating from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries, as well as its extensive grounds and gardens. We welcome filming and photography on the campus of Saint Patrick’s College where you can avail of forty locations in one venue. You can select:

Filming at Maynooth CollegeThe College has excellent facilities that can meet modern or period settings.  Where the request is in keeping with the ethos of the College, we will try to meet your needs. For extended shoots, accommodation and catering can be provided as well as extensive facilities.  Filming can be disruptive to the daily life and business of the College, and sometimes provides the College with logistical and security issues.

Where permission is approved, a license is granted by St Patrick's College. Filming will be permitted in the agreed designated areas of the College, and a security escort from the College will be provided for the unit while on campus to facilitate and liaise with the various College departments.Martin Sheen learns the liturgical moves at St Patrick's College, Maynooth

Requests to film or take photographs on the campus of St Patrick's College should be made by letter or on-line, at least one month in advance. If permission should be granted, a license will be issued by the PR Office. Without this license, Security will remove anyone filming on campus.

Commercial Filming or Photography:

Minimum fees for commercial filming or photography on campus are Miriam O'Callaghan in a documentary at Maynooth Collegecharged at €200 per hour, or part thereof, payable in advance. Extended filming for movies, series and commercials, involving several days or weeks, will be negotiated. Overnight parking can be provided for make-up, catering, wardrobe and facilities trucks. The College can also provide residential accommodation and catering for your actors and crew, and additional facilities that you might require.

Where the purpose of the filming or photography is for student projects, educational purposes or news coverage, charges may be waived. However, you must contact our PR Department one month in advance to make your case, and aquire your permission and license.
