Studying Ministry
St. Patrick's College provide courses, both at Diploma and Higher Diploma level, which aim to prepare students for the various aspects of Pastoral Ministry. These programmes address such areas as the role and responsibilities of a minister, the ministry of the Sacraments, the ministry of the Word and the area of ministry itself, as a vocation and profession.
The course also draws on students' own pastoral experiences and aims to advance their own self-development as a minister, as well as preparing them in the area of pastoral care.
If you would like more information on the areas of Ministry and Faith, please get in touch. For queries regarding ministry and pastoral care, Sr Bríd Liston is our Director of Pastoral Studies and Ms Giovanna Feeley is our Director of Pastoral Placements.
The Irish Centre for Faith and Culture
The Irish Centre for Faith and Culture was established in 1997. The main aim of the Centre is to make a long-term contribution towards serious reflection on the Irish Church’s adaptation to the changing cultural conditions of life. The Centre also strives to encourage research into the relationship between faith and culture in Ireland and to promote and assist the work of the Pontifical Council for Culture. Rev Michael A. Conway is Professor of Faith and Culture, and also Director of the Irish Centre for Faith and Culture.
