Reception for Monsignor Dermot Farrell

Date: Thursday 29 November 2007
Time: 4:00pm
Venue: Pugin Hall

A reception in honour of Monsignor Dermot Farrell will take place at 4.00 p.m. on Thursday, 29th November in Pugin Hall.

Monsignor Farrell was President of Saint Patrick's College from 9 December 1996 to 30 August 2007, a time of major development in Saint Patrick's College, during which time NUI, Maynooth was founded. Serving as President for nearly eleven years, he was the longest serving President since Dr Kissane in the 40's and 50's. However, his involvement with the College goes back to 1972, when he entered the seminary, and signed up to study science in the four-year honours programme. His long connection with the College and NUI Maynooth means that he touched many lives in both Saint Patrick's College and NUI, Maynooth.
