CENTRE CULTUREL IRLANDAIS
The Centre Culturel Irlandais, or Irish College, is located in a magnificent building in the heart of Paris, in the Latin Quarter. Since reopening to the public in October 2002 the College has presented a diverse mix of Irish literary, visual and performance work, highlighting the best of Irish arts in one of the world's most culturally diverse cities. With a chapel, médiatheque, gallery and studios in addition to the unique Old Library, the centre thrives as a meeting place and residence for Irish students, artists, researchers and visitors to Paris. www.centreculturelirlandais.com.

Born into a musical Roman family, in 1705 Bencini was appointed maestro in the German church in Rome, La Chiesa di Santa Maria dell'Anima. In 1706 he was appointed to the important position of guardiano of the society of musicians. In 1743, he became maestro di cappella in the Pope’s private chapel.
HENRY MADIN (1698 - 1748)
Madin’s family left Ireland in the early 1690s with the Wild Geese, and Henry was born in Verdun in 1698. He had a brilliant career which culminated in his appointment to the Chapel Royal where he was one of the best-known musicians of his time in France. The Irish Chamber Choir of Paris will sing extracts from the three masses for which he is best known.
