Maurice Dunne RIP

Maurice Dunne died peacefully on 29th April, his 70th birthday.

Maurice grew up in Tralee, County Kerry, and joined the staff in 1961. With only a short break in service, he has been a member of the Maynooth College community since then.

He was a friend to all who enjoyed the gardens, and always had time to discuss a plant, or to share seeds that he was planting. We are grateful to Jim Keenan for these photographs of Maurice.

Thursday, 30 April
Departure from St. Bridget’s Hospice, Curragh, @ 7.00pm
Arrival at St. Joseph’s Oratory, South Campus @ 8.00pm
Reposing in Saint Joseph’s Oratory, which will remain open until midnight.

Friday, 1 May
Funeral Mass @ 12.00 noon in Saint Joseph’s Oratory
followed by burial in College Cemetery

Lunch afterwards in Pugin Hall.
