Launch of The Splendid Cause

The Columban Fathers were founded in Maynooth in 1916 as the Maynooth Mission to China.

launched The Splendid Cause by Neil Collins, a study of the Missionary Society of Saint Columban, 1916-1954 in Renehan Hall at Saint Patrick's College on Monday, 20th April at 7.00pm.

Fr Neil Collins has spent three years researching the work, under the direction of Sr Jacinta Prunty, of the History Department of the National Univeristy of Ireland, Maynooth.
