Part-time Students

We have one part-time course on offer at the Pontifical University;  this is the Higher Diploma in Theological Studies:

Higher Diploma in Theological Studies

A one-year part-time programme on offer to graduates of disciplines other than Theology. It takes place two evenings per week - Monday and Wednesday, 6.30 pm to 9.30 pm - and also one Saturday per month - 10.00am to 4.00pm.

The core courses (Systematic Theology, Moral Theology, Scripture, and Foundations of Worship) will be taught on Monday and Wednesday evenings.

Elective courses: 

As well as the core courses, students must also choose three other courses from a choice of six.  These are called elective courses.

The electives will be taught on Saturdays. Two Saturdays will be devoted to each elective, and each student will take three electives.

The Higher Diploma in Theological Studies is recognised by the Department of Education as entitling teachers, holding Department-recognised degrees and teacher training qualifications, to teach up to 15 hours' Religious Education per week in a voluntary secondary school.
